How do you run the Quillix Service in Console Mode?

UFC Support may advise you to run the Quillix Service in what is referred to as "Console Mode" for diagnostic or troubleshooting purposes.

1 - Log on to the Quillix server using administrative level Windows credentials. This is required for Console mode to work properly.

2 - Stop the Quillix service through the Quillix Server manager.

3 - Verify the Service is stopped as indicated by the 'Red light' or 'Red Flag' depending on the version of Quillix.

4 - Open a Command window (Start>Run>cmd)

5 - Launch the service using this command: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Qxserver.exe /console

6 - When the service is running in console mode, lines of text will scroll quickly in the command window. This is normal during the startup, the input sources will be cycled shortly after the service has started.

To stop the service from the command window, press 'Control' and 'C' (crtl+c) at the same time. The service will stop shortly, and is then able to be started in normal mode.
**IMPORTANT**

When the service is running in console mode, the service status indicator (in the Server Manager) will display the service as stopped. It is imperative that the Quillix service is not started while running in console mode. Ensure that other Quillix administrators are aware the service is being run in console mode and must not be started through the Server Manager.
